Finca La Maroma Home > Spanish Mainland > Malaga > Finca La Maroma Full Listing Of Finca La Maroma Finca La Maroma Description Finca La Maroma is located at an altitude of 425 metres on top of a ridge with panoramic views, 5 km from the pretty village of Sedella. It is set deep in the heart of the countryside at the edge of the Sierra Tejeda-Almijara natural park North of Velez-Malaga, yet only one hour from Malaga airport. It is reached by a private track with virtually no traffic and is surrounded by an extensive network of tracks on which the area can be explored on foot or bicycle. The finca offers six self-catering studio-apartments for two people each. A cot is available and can be booked in connection with either double or twin apartment. One of the apartments has an additional sofa bed suitable for a child. All the apartments are comfortably furnished and heated during the cooler times and have well equipped bathrooms with showers and additional electric heaters. The kitchens feature four burner gas hobs, full size fridges and double sinks and contain all the utensil you are likely to need. A welcome pack of groceries is included and there is a small on-site shop for our guests. All linen including towels is provided and replaced once a week and there are different duvets for summer and winter. There are radios and CD players in the apartments, but no televisions which we feel, and our guests agree, would not be appropriate here. All the apartments either have a small patio or a balcony with a table, chairs and a parasol. In addition there is a communal terrace by the side of the pool with more tables and chairs as well as plenty of sun loungers. The pool measures 5 x 10 m with a depth of between 1.40 m and 1.70 m and is illuminated at night in summer. It also features a solar heating system, so that it can be used for most of the year but it is always open and cleaned so that it can be used in January as well. Next to the pool there is a Jacuzzi, the water of which is always kept above 35C and it is a special experience to lounge in the Jacuzzi in January when the almond trees are blossoming. In winter a sauna is available for use at no extra charge. A short walk along the path that winds down the hillside from the main house you will find a smaller building with a timber floored room of some 4 x 8 m. This is our meditation casita, in which our guests are invited to practice any meditation, quiet contemplation, Yoga, Tai-Chi or similar, either on their own or in the company of other guests. The apartments are available all year round. Minimum stay is two days, although this is not always available. Please enquire.
